Primary School Libraries: vibrant, multifunctional spaces – A SLAV Conference for ALL working in Primary School Libraries.

Featuring the presentation of the Inaugural Primary School Leader of the Year Award

Introduction

We know that “a Library is not a luxury, but one of the necessities of life”  however  in Victorian Primary Schools competing budgetary, space and timetabling demands are impacting on the delivery of library services.

In reality the Library could be the centre of the School, creating  a whole school culture of reading, literacy, enquiry and research which supports teaching and learning for successful student outcomes.

This Conference, designed for ALL working in Primary School Libraries, aims to provide support and guidelines around a large range of topics for ALL who work in Primary School Libraies irrespective of their qualifications and experience.

Come along and learn from experts, school leaders and each other. Share ideas on activities, programs and promoting the school library and valuing yourself as a Library person. Through sharing experiences and knowledge we will  build the  skills and confidence of all working in Primary School Libraries.

Register yourself with a friend and each of you will attend at a discounted cost of $200.00.  NOTE each and every person will need to complete an individual on-line registration form, to enable SLAV admin to collate details for discounts.  A formal confirmation email will be sent to each delegate one week prior to the event, with all details regarding invoice prices.  Invoices will be sent out the next working day after the event.
