Strathcona Baptist Girls Grammar School
Strathcona Baptist Girls Grammar School has the reputation of a strongly connected community of learners where students achieve excellent academic and co-curricular results. Strathcona is located in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs and is a unique, medium-sized girls’ school with three separate campuses. The school provides education from ELC to Year 12. Both boys and girls are catered for in the Early Learning Centre.
The Teacher Librarian will work with students in the Knowledge Exchange working as part of the Strathcona community to transform this state of the art facility into the learning hub of our main campus. This role will inspire and support the girls in their development of digital fluencies as well as promoting a love of literature. This position plays a key role in the provision of an interactive digital interface which promotes creativity in thinking, learning and research, as well as a love of reading.
The critical component of the role is to encourage the girls to think, explore and to ignite a passion for learning.

Leader of Library and Learning Resource Centre
The role of the successful applicant will be to perform a number of activities under the guidance of Leader of Curriculum Initiatives and Effective Teaching and Leader of School Services to ensure that appropriate resources are in place to support the College’s teaching program.
They will be responsible for providing effective and efficient information services appropriate for a contemporary educational setting, including facilitating the use and access to Library resources within and outside of school hours.
The position performs a leadership role that coordinates tasks, policies, standards, practices and systems within the MFG Learning Resource Centre. The person in this position will be responsible for the transition of our current library into our new Learning Resource Centre on completion of the Capital Works program.
The person will work with a reasonable degree of autonomy in determining operational work priorities and schedules against defined plans and priorities.
