Understanding Catalogue Records

This full day workshop will cover:

  • What’s in a catalogue record.
  • Cataloguing standards – present and future.
  • Sources of catalogue records
  • Making the most of catalogue records for student [user] discoverability.

This workshop will combine theory with practical activities and group discussion, with flexibility to meet the needs of participants.

To ensure the workshop is relevant to you, you could bring along:

  • Your SCIS access details
  • Access to your ILMS (if available)
  • Examples of resources you want/need catalogued
  • Questions about cataloguing that you have always wanted answered.

All participants are to bring along a wifi enabled device.
