From Novice to Expert Searcher

In this session, we will explore how Informit Explore can support students at every stage of developing information literacy skills—from their first encounter with a research database to confidently navigating advanced search functions for complex projects. We will discuss the intuitive features of Informit Explore that help students build foundational search skills, understand how to filter and evaluate records, and develop more sophisticated strategies for refining and expanding their queries. Attendees will see how the platform's structured, user-friendly design fosters critical thinking, helping students transition from basic keyword searches to mastering advanced techniques, enabling them to become independent and confident researchers.
