Description:

In this session you will be shown how your students can access State Library Victoria’s vast catalogue and online databases. The session will outline where to find high quality, reliable resources that will aid student research and support future studies. You will also get an overview of the education programs and resources available at State Library Victoria.  

Presenter:

Mairead Kennedy is the Manager, Education and Family Programs at State Library Victoria. She started her career as a secondary school teacher and brought her passion for curriculum and pedagogy to the education team when she started working at State Library Victoria. Mairead loves designing programs that engage and empower students, and support teachers in the valuable work they do. She is most known for telling people that her name rhymes with 'parade'.

About the HILO Series
The High Impact Libraries Online (HILO) series showcases and explores the various ways school libraries support learning and teaching through online systems, tools, and programs. Each session presents a different area of knowledge within the online school library space; offering examples of strategic practice by experienced speakers.

Knowledge to take with you:
A Padlet is provided along-side each HILO session, to enable attendees to collaborate and extend their knowledge after the session has concluded. All attendees will receive access.
